Lakehouse Update

Work on the house came to a rolling stop when little baby Sawyer arrived. I took off to Fort St John for a couple weeks to spend time with Ashley and baby. Now Christmas is causing some major delays along with this -40 weather but we are managing to get a few things accomplished.

Perry installed two more toilets so we have facilities in the master bedroom en suite, main bath and bonus room bath. We still have the "contractors" toilet in the garage bath that might as well stay until we tile that floor. Perry installed the tongue and groove in the en suite toilet closet and I painted the two walls Harbour Grey (Benjamin Moore). I stained the poplar wall with Maxum 7500 deck stain - Beachwood. A nice translucent blueish gray. Perfect color for the bathroom. Very beachy. The poplar knots really stand out with this color.
Top hole is an art niche we will frame in. Bottom hole will have the toilet paper roll thingy.

I actually finished painting the sky light tunnel...yay. So it is ready to be trimmed. That color was Revere Pewter (Benjamin Moore). I used the same color and painted the closet in the bonus room today. That little room is so ready for flooring. Hopefully we will be able to have it installed in January "if" I get the last few boards stained for Pat to complete the ceiling. Perry partially hung one of the driftwood chandeliers in there today too but we need to address something with the electricians first and then I will post a pic.

Mom and Dad loaned us their old propane stove so camping out in the house got a little easier. No more hot plate and we have an oven. Yee ha will make it much easier to host Christmas get togethers up here.

And the true Christmas miracle.... the electrical crew will be here tomorrow and Tuesday....yay. I foresee the end of tripping over multiple extension cords. They anticipate doing the finals on the majority of the outlets, getting the breaker boxes complete and we should also have the jacuzzi and steam shower up and running.... Can you hear my big sigh?

Looking forward to a very productive week and the arrival of Brandon and Meg too.

Relax... Respect... Enjoy... Dorri
