Kitchen & Foyer Ceiling Updates

The week of Oct 27 we started kicking it into gear and put up the majority of the kitchen ceiling. We had been initially waiting on the piping to be placed for the stove hood vent. Then we were waiting on me to get the boards pickled and glazed. We are at the end of the 1 x6s we have and they are definitely the worst of the best. So a little fine tuning was required to keep the install on the straight and narrow. There's Perry below doing a wonderful job. It is giving us the exact look we wanted. Rustic and woodsy.
My projects are now on hold as I am in FSJ with Ashley and baby Sawyer helping out, cooking, cleaning and bonding with the little wiggleworm. Had an interesting day yesterday with an alarm issue that I couldn't shut off on my truck and a flat tire. Ohhhh life is good. All worked out and I did have a great lunch with my friend Sue.

Kitchen ceiling 1 x 6s pickedled white and glazed with a slight tinge of brown
We love it, it is really turning out perfect. The piping for the hood vent is hanging out like a big snake
The last couple feet will have to wait until we have more boards ready
Started a little bit in the front foyer too. We insulated the ceiling for sound as above is the exercise area
We love it....
Relax... Respect... Enjoy... Dorri
