Wet Bar Backsplash

Always on the lookout for something original and eclectic for the Lakehouse. A way to recycle, save money and have fun. My go-to site is always Pinterest. Wine corks stood out on a few sites. We just happen to have a few collecting dust. I was saving them for a project just wasn't sure what the project would be. I saw this idea a while ago and  I have been patiently saving wine and champagne corks ever since. Our wet bar in the bonus room is tucked under a vaulted ceiling, not ideal for basketball players but should be fine for us lol. The backsplash really only has to be about 8" high. So here is what I came up with. Since we are not ready to install it yet we still have time to drink more wine and save more corks. Always a good plan. Drink responsibly...
Oh the memories I see here
Lay out the corks in a basket weave pattern
Our favourite wine is kinda obvious Francis Ford Coppola
But what to do with all the champagne corks?
Imagine this glued to a nice framed piece of barn board.  Shy a few corks here oops more Mimosas don't you think Angela? The pink champagne is chillin'

Relax... Respect... Enjoy... Dorri
