Trip to Fort St John

A whirlwind trip 5 days to Fort St John, BC to visit my daughter Ashley and attend her baby shower.... Waiting for baby to come.... due November 25th. We had the best time. Wonderful warm fall weather. Lucky for me the shower happened on Thanksgiving weekend so we made a delicious dinner for family and friends.
I helped Ashley make these awesome bath salts for the shower  goodies. We made pink grapefruit and eucalyptus ones which would be awesome when you are sick with a cold. Surprisingly easy to make.
Ashley's good friend Julie hosted the shower at her home. The girls have been friends since they were toddlers back on Vancouver Island.
Beautiful Caitlyn. Been part of our family for many years.
So cute. A tiny North Face snowsuit perfect for a cold BC winter.
The glowing mother to be. My beautiful daughter. The best thing I have ever created.
Such a cute diaper cake.
We celebrated Thanksgiving on Monday. We are very blessed this year. Thankful to be welcoming a new son-in-law Danny into the family and eagerly anticipating the birth of our grandson in late November. A wonderful dinner with Danny's mother Cindy, brother Randy, Danny's cousin, husband and baby along with Caitlyn, her boyfriend and her brother Drew.We had a little cooking lesson along with a lot of fun and laughs.
Ashley getting the non-alcoholic punch ready. Delicious. We made the same one Julie made for the baby shower.
Setting out the buffet table, 1st Thanksgiving in the new house for Danny & Ashley
Wine for us non-pregnant people... sorry Ashley... next year for you.
Amazingly without a proper pan we cooked a pretty nice bird.
Does Danny not look too happy about having to carve? He loved it don't let the picture fool you.
Dex is very laid back. Loves just hanging out under the table and being around Ashley.
Relax... Respect... Enjoy...I am very thankful for the end of chemo for my dad. He has been waiting a long time for this. Keep up the good health dad we love you and want you around a long time. I am very thankful for my loving & caring fiance Perry, you are always there for me. We are thankful for all of our families all of the time. Very grateful for my son Brandon and daughter-in-law Megan... though you are far away in Australia you two are never far from our minds, miss you every day... Life is short make every day count... Dorri
